Smithin' Magician III - Assembled

The Smithin' Magician III can be used to fuller grooves & shoulders, draw out accurate square and round tenons, and make square cuts. Its an indispensable tool for any blacksmith shop. The SM III comes with an uncut 7" mild steel blank to make your first die set. (The one shown in the photo has been cut and rounded for display purposes.) Cold rolled blanks, precision milled tool steel blanks, and finished die sets are sold separately. See more info about it here.

Beading Die Set

This die set fits the Blacksmith's Journal Smithin' Magician, made out of 4140 steel, hardened and tempered to R48-50. Forms a decorative 7/32" half round bead into bar stock.

This die set fits the Blacksmith's Journal Smithin' Magician, made out of 4140 steel; hardened and tempered to R48-50; used to make 50 degree grooves in barstock.

Sizing Die Set

This die set fits the Blacksmith's Journal Smithin' Magician, made out of 4140 steel; hardened and tempered to R48-50; used to make hinge journals in square stock and tenons.

Die set includes 3/8" pin stock (not shown in this diagram) to control the gap between the dies with as many as 3 stops for setting the thickness of stock.
